I have been using Excitel for the past 1 year. I would say, once it is set up right :), this is excellent value/speed compared to any internet provider here in Kondapur/Hyderabad. There is a catch—you need to ensure it is set up right. That’s where the problem is. I had an issue with the so-called new modem they provided. It was not a new modem. They were just installing any modem that they had in their bag. Initially, for the first 1.5 weeks, I had to suffer a lot, as there were many disconnections happening every now and then. I had to fight with their service support, and no one knew what was happening. After 3 attempts, post 1.5 weeks, I had to meet 3 technicians, and finally, the third technician figured out that it was a modem issue. They finally replaced the modem, and it has worked fine till date. It’s been a year. I have never faced any issue. I am a happy customer, but I would say there will be many sad ones if they do not know how to fight with their service team and get that resolved. That’s the sad part about Excitel. Even though their sales team, support team, and technicians are very helpful, they need to ensure their technical team does a better job in troubleshooting the problems faced. They try to escape by just doing temporary fixes. Hence, you see many 1-star ratings for them. Not sure if their management is reading this review. If they do, they will get more 5-star ratings like mine. For me, Excitel is the best when it comes to speed and affordability. Don’t look for any other, including Airtel and Jio. I tried these two for two years before I tried Excitel. For your information, Airtel’s and Jio’s initial setup issues were the worst when compared to Excitel. At least, Excitel technicians and the sales team support you when you ring them. :)
